Our Leadership

The Weed Pool Cannabis Cooperative is led by an experienced Board of Directors who own independent retail stores throughout Saskatchewan. Dedicated to the growth and sustainability of the cannabis industry in the province, these seasoned professionals are responsible for providing strategic guidance, overseeing operations, and ensuring the cooperative’s mission aligns with the needs of our members and customers.

Board of Directors

Owner of One Eye’s Weedery (Outlook)

It works better when we work together. Ed knows this first-hand as one of Weed Pool’s earliest members and a valuable community member in Outlook, where he is a fifth-generation rancher and board member for the local retail cooperative and a daycare.

Bringing together cannabis retailers who want to win together, Ed appreciates the competitive edge Weed Pool brings small players in a big industry. He believes the cooperative has the potential to be a nationwide market leader in cannabis wholesale by providing retailers with all the products, data, and resources they need to be profitable.

Ed also has 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry where he was a civil and environmental consultant.

Owner of Saskabuds (Melfort and Humboldt)

Corey sees immense value created by working together toward a common interest for the benefit of many. He believes in strong relationships, camaraderie, knowledge sharing, mentorship, and resource pooling as the method to achieving our collective goal: for independents to reach their full potential. Corey strongly encouragers members and non-members alike to work together and compete against the wholesale-owned stores operating in the province.

Corey holds a Diploma in Business Administration Management and is an experienced entrepreneur with two Saskabuds locations and also owns B’s Bee Ranch, a honey production facility in Kinistino. In addition to work experience, Corey has volunteered his time with the Canadian Honey Council where he was the president as well as the Saskatchewan Beekeepers Association, and is a long-time youth sports coach and mentor.

Owner of Flower Power Pharms (La Loche)

A strong believer in the cooperative model where each member is valued equally, Clay feels deeply committed to the long-term success of Weed Pool. With a focus on growing the cooperative, Clay understands the importance of maintaining membership value through sourcing great products and providing patronage-style refunds to ensure members’ success.

A serial entrepreneur with a career spanning almost 30 years, Clay enjoys the ideation and startup phase of a company’s development. With experience in new product and market development, environmental technology, as well as innovation and tax credit consulting, he brings a unique perspective to Weed Pool.

Owner of Living Skies Cannabis (four locations in Saskatoon)

Working together with other independents motivates Cierra as both a store owner and a board member. With an emphasis on collaboration, Cierra wants to empower other stores by providing easy access to high-quality cannabis products and continue building a strong network of like-minded industry professionals.

Near the end of her Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Cierra was one of the original cannabis retail permit winners in the province and opened her first store in 2018 followed by a second location in 2020 and two more in 2021.

Owner of The Pot Shack (four locations across SK)
